We met because of airplanes.  We fell in love and it has been the most amazing adventure ever since.  We have flown all over the world together and experienced many cultures and cuisines.  Andy is the adventurous one when it comes to food.  He ate chicken feet in Myanmar, for goodness sake!  And if Joiwind were left to her own devices, it would be toast for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  In everything, we feel lucky to share our journey together and are excited to share our next venture here with you.

Andy originally became interested in making great food years ago. He was tired of eating out all the time, while on the road, and wanted to have control over what was in his food.  Throughout the years, creating dishes with fresh ingredients has become Andy’s second passion.  It started with hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and has evolved into gourmet restaurant style dishes with exotic and unusual ingredients.

Joiwind has long had a secret passion for writing that very few know about.  Mostly it found an outlet in boxes and boxes of journals and a few shared tidbits here and there.  It was during our international travels together that this passion finally found a public outlet by writing a blog detailing our adventures together.

Andy’s passion for food, Joiwind’s passion for writing, and our combined passion for flying  is what ultimately led us to take a leap of faith and create this website.  We hope that you love it!
